As a subject matter expert and principal engineer, Andy has performed hundreds of Security Test & Evaluations, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to assist in identifying and remediating DoD and commercial computer systems. Over the past few years, Andy provided assistance and guidance on numerous DIACAP engagements by testing physical, administrative, personnel, computer security (COMPUSEC), communication security (COMSEC), and operations security (OPSEC). One of the highlights of Andy’s career was having the privilege of being on the team which conducted the C&A effort for the Combined Air Operation Center (CAOC) at Al Udeid Air Force Base in Doha, Qatar in November 2002. It was Andy’s responsibility to test and secure the backbone and infrastructure of the CAOC to ensure its networks could not be compromised by enemy forces. The certification and accreditation was necessary before the CAOC could be used as the command and control center during military operations.

In his latest effort at CNF Technologies, Andy has been applying his skills in utilizing virtual technology in the development and integration of a boundary network defense defense system for airborne networks for the Air Force.
