CNF TECHNOLOGIES EXPANDS STRATEGIC FOOTPRINT WITH NEW MARYLAND FACILITY

October 10, 2026

SAN ANTONIO, TX and ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, MD - CNF Technologies, a leader in full-spectrum cyber operations and research and development, today announced a significant milestone in its national growth strategy: the opening of its newest facility at 306 Sentinel Drive, Suite 450, Annapolis Junction, MD. Positioned in the National Business Park (NBP), one of the nation’s key defense and aerospace hubs, the second generation 4,000 square foot facility, enables CNF Technologies to operate closer to partners, talent, and emerging mission requirements.

Slated for operation in summer 2026, with an official opening in October 2026, CNF’s fifth location and first expansion outside of San Antonio, marks a deliberate shift for the San Antonio-headquartered firm, evolving its presence from a regional powerhouse into a proximal partner at the heart of the nation’s cyber ecosystem. The space, designed by San Antonio’s Luna Architecture, constructed by Baltimore’s Partner Contracting, LLC, and managed by COPT Defense Properties, fosters agile and rapid innovation—bringing together multidisciplinary teams to develop synergistic solutions that can be deployed at the speed of relevance to ensure mission readiness and operational superiority across all domains.

“As CNF expands its mission support to the Information Warfare (IW) forces and invests in our proximity to them, our Team at NBP, in addition to our Texas and Colorado Teams, are as imbedded and engaged as they have ever been,” says Gene Gallaher, CNF’s Director of Asymmetric Warfare.

Strategic Proximity to the Mission

The new NBP facility, located adjacent to Fort Meade and the National Security Agency, includes multiple labs, collaboration and conferencing space, and developer workstations to enhance both classified and unclassified support to customers in the region. This local command post is designed to eliminate the physical and technical barriers between tool development and operational deployment. CNF has invested close to $1.5 million in its Maryland office, allowing up to 35 team members to leverage the potential of its new space.

"By establishing our newest cyber capability center at the doorstep of our customers, CNF is closing the gap between the lab and the front line," said Freddy Ramirez, CEO of CNF Technologies. "This move isn't just about growth; we are positioning CNF to be continuously aligned with mission operators. Our developers and engineers are now deeply integrated with the warfighters they support, ensuring the capabilities we build for the Joint Force are ready the moment they are needed."

Powering the Joint Cyber Weapons (JCW) Program

The opening coincides with CNF’s recent selection for the MARFORCYBER Consolidated Cyber Tool Development task order under the SeaPort Next Generation (SeaPort-NxG) vehicle earlier this year. In this role, CNF is charged with leading the development, testing, and integration of cutting-edge capabilities for cyber operations in support of the Command’s mission priorities.

This task order is a central component of the JCW program. By utilizing the new NBP facility, CNF can provide a dedicated integration hub where developers can collaborate face-to-face with USCYBERCOM J9 and Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) to rapidly prototype and field capabilities that integrate seamlessly into the Joint Force's architecture.

Beyond its work with MARFORCYBER, the Maryland expansion enhances CNF’s ability to support:

‍

Cyber National Mission Force (CNMF): Providing the rapid, high-end tool sets required by the nation's cyber "first responders" to disrupt and deny adversary threats.

USCYBERCOM J9: Accelerating the transition of advanced prototypes from R&D into operational environments through the command’s innovation pathways.

"While our roots remain firmly in San Antonio’s vibrant cyber community, this expansion into Maryland showcases our dominance on a national level. We now have flags planted in the top two geographies with highest concentration of cyber professionals." added Ramirez.
